Creating your own freelance writing opportunities

Have you thought about earning money from home either as a way to supplement your family’s income or as way to change your current employment status? Why not take the writing skills you currently have and build a business around them? You can create your own work schedule.  You also get to choose to work with local businesses or with businesses and people you meet online.

People that are proficient in freelance writing can easily find work. Many people have websites online but aren’t very good at creating content for those sites.  Just visit any work at home message board and you will see many posts asking for people to help them with original content!

Are you creative? If so, you can find work as a freelance writer in nearly any niche market. You can also look on websites such as craigslist.org, freelancewriting.com, or one of many others.

If you would rather work offline, there are still plenty of opportunities for you. Market your services creatively – let local businesses know what you can do to help them. For instance, as a freelance writer, you can contact any print publication to find out what their procedures are for submitting articles or stories.  Then you can send queries to submit your writing for consideration.

There is so much information on the internet for those that are interested in beginning a home based business as a freelance writer. Head over to your favorite search engine and type in “freelance writer.” You may be amazed at how many websites there are that can teach you how to become a freelance writer, where to submit your writing, and any other type of help you might need.

As you can see, you can turn your writing skills into ways to work from home. Once you to be a freelance writer, don’t let anything stop you.  Get out there and let businesses know you are available for hire! If you will never succeed if you don’t put your name and your writing out there!
